Sarah is currently the Head of Training at Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce and is now in her 25th year. She started working for North Derbyshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry and has seen many changes to the organisation in the last 25 years.
Her first role here was as a Training Officer working on the YTS programme funded by the Manpower Services Commission. Sarah has had many roles and responsibilities throughout her time here but ultimately has always worked in the Training team with young people and unemployed adults moving them through positive experiences in training and development to successful outcomes.
Sarah began her career and spent the first 10 years working for Kenning Car Rental in Chesterfield and was promoted to Training Officer for the organisation. This brought with it a responsibility for training all the newly recruited Car Rental Receptionists throughout the country.
Sarah has qualifications in Leadership and Management to level 5 and is a non-executive Director of The Derbyshire Network of Training Providers.
Married to Simon with one child, Alexandria, Sarah lives in Chesterfield.
