Sent out in February, June, September and November each year, the information on trading conditions, UK and export sales, employment and capacity levels is analysed across Derbyshire Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire by county, by region, and then nationally by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC).
This is one of the UK’s most respected business surveys and influences independent economists, the Government, and the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee.
The Q3 survey fieldwork is now underway - and given that the East Midlands was recently reported as being the top-performing English regionin the first six months of this year, the Chamber is keen to gauge the current state of business confidence, and the views of organisations on topical issues affecting their operating conditions.
Taking approx 5mins to complete online, the survey is available here.
For benchmarking purposes, the QES Archive contains previous survey summaries.
Chamber members have the opportunity to raise their profile by sponsoring the flagship Quarterly Economic Survey, which is distributed to DNCC members, the local and regional media, as well as promoted prominently on the Chamber’s website.
