The new business partner at Yorkshire Bank in Derby has come full circle.
Nigel Wilson is returning to his business roots to strengthen the team at Yorkshire Bank's Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in St Peter's Street.
The 43-year-old is returning to the town where he worked between 2003 and 2006 and he is eager to meet up with old business contacts as well as make new acquaintances.
"When I worked in Derby before I built good relationships within the business community and I will be attending plenty of networking events to get to know the key figures in the city," Nigel said.
"Since I left there have been a noticeable number of changes including the building of the Westfield Derby Shopping Centre and the expansion of Pride Park as well as next month's opening of the new bus station as part of the Riverlights development.
"Derby is clearly forging a reputation as a major force in the East Midlands because of the pro-active nature of those who make the decisions in the city and I am delighted to be returning."
Nigel, who is a keen cricket and rugby supporter, has worked in the banking industry since 1983 across the East Midlands.
He added: "In my previous job I worked solely in the property sector but I will be handling a wide range of clients for Yorkshire Bank.
"The FSC is a great idea because customers can have all their financial needs looked after by our experts under one roof in Derby instead of having to travel elsewhere."
Dave Simpson, senior partner at Derby's FSC, added that Nigel would be a great addition to the team.
"Despite the recession we have maintained an ‘open for business' policy by continuing to complete deals and Nigel will play a key part in helping Yorkshire Bank's new and potential customers achieve their business ambitions," he said.
