More than 40 golfers from businesses across Nottinghamshire teed off at Besston Fields Golf Club recently for the Chamber's annual Nottinghamshire Golf Day.
The competition, which used the Stableford* scoring system, was won by Rothera Dowson et al, who fought off stiff competition from ten other teams to take the honours with an overall score of 79, including a 41 on the back nine. Team members Neil Etherington, Michael Whittaker, John Land, and Gareth Cook collected the trophy.
CPI Pneumatics came second with a score of 76 and a back nine score of 40, whilst URG 2, from the United Rental Group, came third with a score of 74.
Jason Wright from J Wright Roofing Ltd won the prize for longest drive, which was sponsored by the United Rental Group, whilst Chris Taylor from URG 2 was closest to the pin.

* The Stableford scoring system involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole, rather than ather than counting the total number of strokes taken, as in stroke play. Under these rules, the objective is to have the highest score, rather than the lowest score used with more tradional methods.
