The Chamber's Quarterly Economic Survey is the region’s benchmark barometer of business confidence.
Sent out in February, June, September and November each year, the information on trading conditions, UK and export sales, employment and capacity levels is analysed across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire by county, by region, and then nationally by British Chambers of Commerce (BCC).
It is one of the UK’s most respected business surveys and influences independent economists, the government and the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee.
A summary of the most recent survey's findings is available by clicking here.
The Q2 survey is now LIVE for a three-week period that ends w/c 10th June; and is accessible here.
Topical questions on smarter working practices, red tape burdens, business support, and access-to-finance also feature in a survey that only takes a couple of minutes to complete online; please fill-in the sections relevant to your organisation - many thanks for your support.
For benchmarking purposes, the QES Archive contains previous survey summaries.
The latest MPs' Newsletter, which outlines the Chamber's current stance regarding the aspects currently inhibiting economic growth, is also available here amongst the Chamber's lobbying and campaigning priorities - this is mailed to every constituency across the two counties, together with all political leaders at all local authorities.
DNCC is also conducting research on the impacts of the Workplace Parking Levy in Nottingham; and welcomes the online insights of affected businesses here.
Chamber members have the opportunity to raise their profile by sponsoring the Chamber's flagship Quarterly Economic Survey, which is distributed to Chamber members, the local and regional media, as well as promoted prominently on the Chamber’s website here.
