Course OverviewAction Centred LeadershipTM or ACL® is one of the best known and most successful leadership models. ACL® was developed and pioneered by Professor John Adair, a renowned expert on leadership and leadership development. ACL® is both practical and highly effective within all types and sizes of organisation and industry sector.
Unlike many training courses which can focus too much on theory, ACL® training is very different because it is highly practical and provides you with an excellent opportunity for ‘hands-on' learning
This two day workshop will give you the opportunity to acquire new techniques; observe and practice your leadership skills and undertake a range of challenging team-based tasks and case studies. Enjoy practical team exercises and receive honest, constructive and supportive feedback in a group discussion.
The key features of ACL® training are a focus on being practical, participative, relevant, action-oriented, varied and finally, enjoyable.
AimsWe are not teaching - instead, we are creating a unique learning opportunity. It's a real chance for advancement or progress.
The ACL® course will develop:
•·      An awareness of the three areas of overlapping need present in all working groups and an appreciation of the essential functions of a leader
•·      An understanding of what functions are required - the ability to recognise these functions when they are happening - and to recognise when the situation demands them
•·      The beginnings of skills in performing the necessary functions effectively
•·      A clear idea of how the skills can be applied in your own context

•·      To give you the ability to recognise the particular needs of a situation, and the sort of leadership actions that can then lead to success

He has held senior roles within FTSE companies in the Retail and Commercial sectors, and has considerable experience of successfully leading, managing and motivating teams within large and complex organisations.
