The Chamber's Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) is seen as a barometer of business confidence in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Sent out in February, June, September and November each year, the information on business confidence, export and import sales and capacity levels is analysed across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire; by county; by region, and then nationally by British Chambers of Commerce (BCC). It is one of the most respected business surveys by independent economists, the government and the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee.
Results are published through the local media at the end of the research month, and nationally through the British Chambers of Commerce website at http://www.chamberonline.co.uk/.
We also use the Quarterly Economic Survey to ascertain your view on pressing issues such as red tape, skills gaps, transport priorities and proposed new taxation mechanisms such as Workplace parking levies, supplementary business rates and congestion charging. It is also an opportunity for you to shape our lobbying, which helps define the work of the Members' Councils and Forums.

For benchmarking purposes, an archive is available here of preceding surveys.
Sponsorship and Profile-Raising Opportunities
For the first time, the Chamber is offering members new opportunities to raise their profile by sponsoring the Chamber's flagship Quarterly Economic Survey, and also a proposed new Salaries and Benefits Survey.
