Temple Safety Summonsed To The Lords

Chesterfield based Temple Safety Ltd staff were recently asked to attend the House of Lords to collect an award for their services toward promoting safety.

Jason Jacques and Lucinda Lister, who are respectively Chairman and Secretary of the West & North Yorkshire Construction Safety Association, were asked to collect the Highly Commended Award for Best Overall Programme from Safety Groups UK. The judging panel was made up from representatives of the HSE, IOSH, NEBOSH, RoSPA and IIRSM.

The majority of the programme was created by Jason and Lucinda and focussed on providing innovative and interesting presentations to the construction industry. Jason who has been elected Chairman of the WNYCSA for the last five years commented that "it was a great honour to receive the award and to be recognised for the hard work that has been put into making an interesting and varied programme of events. A lot of time and careful thought must go into making the programme a success so that people attend month after month".

Whilst Temple Safety have continued with their core market of construction, enquiries have been received from other areas of industry to assist with creation and implementation of sensible safety arrangements and where necessary, to deal reactively with issues.

Jason said: "As with most organisations we have found the last year challenging but have continued to maintain our existing client base and have picked up new clients mainly through recommendations. Our commitment to a sensible approach to health and safety matters has been welcomed. This coupled with the decision to carry on with training to develop staff such as Lucinda has naturally strengthened our ability to deliver"
