Highly-respected broadcaster, writer and newsreader Jeremy Vine will be the guest of honour at the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner.
The gala dinner, which takes place at the East Midlands Conference Centre on 25 March 2010, is the highlight of the Chamber's events calendar. It is sponsored by ProNet Computers, the Greater Nottingham Partnership, the Learning and Skills Council and Abacus Lighting.
Jeremy Vine is one of the nation's most recognisable broadcasters, thanks to his daily lunchtime radio talkshow and slots presenting Newsnight, the Politics Show, Panorama, Points of View and the quiz show Eggheads. He won a Sony Radio Academy Award for Best Speech Broadcaster in 2005.
George Cowcher, Chief Executive of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber, said: "We are delighted to have secured the services of Jeremy Vine as guest speaker for our annual gala dinner in March. Jeremy is one of the UK's most respected broadcasters, having covered a number of major international news stories during his distinguished career as a journalist and newsreader. He has since gone on to become a presenter of great repute and I am sure his slot at the dinner will be lively, thought-provoking and entertaining."
The Chamber's annual dinner is now fully booked, although there is a reserve list available. For more information, call Georgina Bursby on 01332 851280 or email events@dncc.co.uk
