Incoterms 2000 has been revised and the new edition, Incoterms® 2010, is available from October 2010 with the Incoterms® 2010 rules applying from 1 January 2011. This incorporates a number of changes to keep pace with the development of international trade together with new terms and revised classifications and interpretation of rules to provide greater clarity.
Incoterms rules are standard trade definitions most commonly used in international sales contracts. Incoterms are devised and published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Every international sales contract should include Incoterms as these determine the respective roles of both the buyer and seller in the arrangement of transportation and other responsibilities and clarify when the ownership of the merchandise takes place.
DNCC is organising workshop sessions which interpret the changes to Incoterms and what these mean for users and will be of benefit to export administrators, sales staff, accounts personnel and senior managers who need an understanding in the rights and responsibilities of parties to an export contract.
Delegates attending the workshop can pre-order a copy of Incoterms® 2010 at a special discounted price of £36.00. (Normal price £45.00 plus Postage and Packing for members and £50.00 plus Postage and Packing for non-members)
Wallcharts are also available at £12.00 each plus postage.
