Derby Enterprise Agency Ltd (DEA) was formed in 1983 under the name of Derby and Derbyshire Business Venture Ltd, the name changed in 2006 to reflect the countywide support provided.
DEA is a wholly subsidiary of Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Ltd, operating independently of its parent company through its own Board of Directors.
DEA is a member of the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies.
DEA are the current provider of Business Link start up services, and through working with local and national partners have demonstrated consistent success in delivering start up support across the county.
DEA has an extensive partnership network in the DDEP and Alliance SSP areas, working closely with local authorities, the University of Derby, local infrastructure agencies such as The Princes Trust and Erewash Partnership.
DEA has also successfully engaged and integrated with the local rural communities and key partners, enabling them to firmly understand the issues faced by entrepreneurs and small businesses within the county's rural localities.
DEA has attained this extensive experience by establishing a presence at a number of key local access points in the DDEP and Alliance SSP areas, such as Agricultural Business Centre in Bakewell, George Holmes Business Centre in Swadlincote, municipal buildings in Glossop, Bolsover, Ripley and the Buxton Dome from where we have delivered services directly to our clients.
