The Business Award Derbyshire 2011 Launch will take place on Thursday 31st March 2011 at an evening reception at The Roundhouse, Derby.

The counties showcase of commercial talent, the Business Awards Derbyshire 2011, will be officially launched and open for entries from any company, public sector organisation or charity based in the county.

Organised by Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber and supported by the Derby Evening Telegraph, the Awards are split into eight categories that reward and recognise more than just sheer business acumen; there are categories for those organisations that have invested in and developed their staff and that have considered the impact on their environment.

Simply getting through to the final of these awards will raise an organisation's profile among its peers but just as important is the huge boost it gives to internal morale. It's a real pat on the back for the workforce who make things happen.

To win will be a mark of quality that will bring real prestige and potentially a boost to the bottom line. And it's well worth being at the dinner - it will be a glittering occasion and a terrific opportunity to network and socialise with some of the top business leaders in the county.

The closing date is Friday 24th June, after which the judging panel will draft a shortlist of three nominations per award. The process will culminate in a spectacular black tie gala dinner on 30th September 2011.
